Reintroduction

It's Tuesday morning, May 12th, 2015, and I wake up with this strange sudden urge to write.  I don't know why.  I'm not much of a writer and my grammar is atrocious, but I woke up realizing I wanted to write about food.  This isn't something new; in fact I've always wanted to write about food, but I've been putting it off with the intent of someday officially starting.  I guess today's the day.  Why today I ask myself?  Maybe it's because yesterday, nearly two years after I first visited Dominique Ansel Bakery, I had the best ham and cheese croissant of my life and it reminded me that it was at that very location two years ago that I promised myself I would start a food blog.  Maybe it's because I am terrified of forgetting the taste, touch, and smell of each culinary experience.  I don't want to be one of those people who simply eats and forgets, yet mindlessly raves about restaurants.  Instead I want to be a conscious eater who gives respect to the food, the chef, and the cuisine by making it my duty to notice all aspects of the experience.
Upon logging into my account, which I haven't touched in two years, I realized that besides my introduction entry, I had actually started an entry in August 2013 that was supposed to document my cronut experience.  Besides the title "Genius or Fad", it was just a plain document.  Nothing seemed more appropriate.  I began with Dominique Ansel and I shall begin again with Dominique Ansel.  Since I have failed to linguistically record my food experiences for the last two years, many of posts will be about trying to remember those moments, while other posts will be about new experiences.  Either way, I hope that by writing them down, these experiences will no longer be ephemeral

P.S. Don't judge my grammar and spelling.  I'm writing this at seven in the morning and I'm too lazy to care.  All future posts will also be unchecked and unedited.

P.P.S. I deleted my introduction from two years ago because it no longer felt fitting.
